7 year old raped on school bus in Ohio - court says they can not sue. Can you help?
Bernardine Wade is a 50 year old single mother. Her adopted special needs daughter was raped at age 7. Repeatedly. On a special needs school van going to school and back. For over a year.
The rapist admitted that he sodomized the 7 year old girl and forced her to perform oral sex on him.
Here’s the kicker. The Ohio Court of Appeals has ruled that a child assaulted on a school vehicle may not sue.
And it’s not just little Ne-Ne it happened to. According to the Canton Rep, this has happened to 11 families in Ohio.
Bernardine Wade, Ne-Ne’s mom has been interviewed by Fox News. She says…
“I’m not going to stop until I’m on the ‘Oprah Winfrey Show,’ ” Wade said. “Until that happens, I’m going to keep it going. It doesn’t end with the march. It’s the beginning.”

Even though the Canton Rep did such terrible job…they said that Ms. Wade has kept quiet over the last few years…that is so far from the truth… she was trying to fight it in court until the supreme court in Ohio said it was no precedence to proceed with the case…but agreed a month or so later to hear another case…go figure!
I pleaded with the Canton Rep to add the video from fox news and a couple of outside links and they told me that there rules said they don’t include outside links in stories…that is when I was talking to the reporter Felicia…so when I left a msg for the editor I used jacks and Sam’s idea of why outside links are good…

and the next next because of google alerts set up that I learned from 16 steps…what do you know they put the video in…I was so taken back, that I was able to make perfect sense to them.
Thanks Linda for posting this for your readers…Ms. Bernadine Wade says that she wants to be able to tell Oprah her story…and people say why? because she will be telling her story to millions across the world… that is why
I strongly ask that your readers blog about this if they understand that not only can this happen to this little girl in Ohio but their children as well…because after research, Ohio is not the state with these dumb laws that don’t protect our children and they school districts hide behind the laws.

What I liked about the Canton Rep article is that it told that there are other families dealing with the same thing. That way, no one can pretend it’s just one little girl and look the other way. It’s sad that people do that, but they do.
So sad that school districts have these laws to hide behind. Every parent thinks that when they put their child on a school bus, that they’re safe and protected. And they SHOULD be. How horrible that they’re not, and this is how people have to find out.
