900 photos

Published by linda at 2:31 pm under personal

I don’t think my Mom knows about my blog yet, so I’m safe to say this. So as long as none of my sisters spill the beans before the weekend, I’m safe blabbing.

We’re making her a family DVD for her birthday party. Or - I’m making the DVD, and all my siblings contributed photos over the years.  Know how many photos I have?  900.  LOL.  Read that again. 900.  LOL.

There’s some gems in here. I could spend the next few days sharing memory lane with you here…. easily. The next 900 days, even. LOL. Okay, back at it.

Fraccy said that when I’m busy with the dvd, she’s going to come to my blog and tease me for not having time to post. heh. Not only am I posting - I commented before she did, too.

    razzzzzberry, sis. lol.

    lol.

I’m busy shaking my head at some of the people I have to deal with to do my part of the deal. If these little things don’t stop, my head is going to come flying off and hurt someone.

And no.. this time it’s not who you’d think.

I’m a vain person who does not look good in snap shots taken any time after I was 16. I’m so very glad my siblings aren’t reading your blog because they have yet to catch on to the fact that my mom allowed me to burn every photo she had kept of me from 16 to date, other than those that were taken by professionals. I look even better than I do in real life in the professional shots and that’s what I want people to remember me looking like. ;-)

lol timethief. I tend to hide when a camera comes out. Same reason. Never like my pics. I do my best to find all the ones I hate and help them disapper…. and only keep the ones I don’t hate. lol

900 photos? Zounds. I had a job like that once while in business. Had to scan them all, correct color, etc. and print them.

Are you going to post the results? It is a wonderful thing to do for your mother. So much love in it. You are good daughters!

Linda! Please help when you get a moment. I clicked on your HostGator link to sign up for 1 penny trial listed on your button (I’d even settle on the 4.95 per month they claim when you view the options) but all it gives me is an $8.95 + $5.00 set -up even though it says set up should be free! :(

Am I doing something wrong? Please help!

900 photos is a LOT! I am going thru’ the 1,000 that we took on our trip to Maui! Just a little obsessive are we….
Hey….I just received the NICEST smelling candle centerpiece in the mail! Really LOVELY!!! :) ….but there appears to be a little stow-away…..is it….Petra?….or a close relative????

Jayleen, Linda will be back shortly. She’s currently getting no sleep (but finished that DVD) and figuring out how to get the file to me in a format I can then burn. Living this far apart sometimes is a tad inconvenient. ;-)

Oh I know… I didn’t expect an immediate answer. Just whenever she’s caught up. I’m finally trying to get a real site up. It’ll wait.

I bet your mom is going to love this present. :)

Linda’s DVD was wonderful! Mom was so busy at her party she couldn’t really watch it, but guest after guest did… it was really great. Mom was watching it while we were packing up stuff at the end, and she was really pleased.

Linda.. you’re truly a wonderful person. I know what effort and sacrifice you put in to get that done and to me on time (who needs sleep?) and you know, if everyone in the world had a little bit of LindaC in them… we would have a perfect world.

So glad it all went well after all of your hard work girls.
A belated Happy Birthday to your Mum from the adopted Fraccy Sis xx :-)

I’m leaving you a Happy Birthday wish here too! I emailed Simon to see if he’d wish you a Happy Birthday on American Idol tonight, but for some reason he ignored my mail…. as if I was just some, some…. weird fan. Can you imagine that?

But truly… Happy Birthday. I wish you were here. If Aussiebabe was here and you were, can you imagine what a fun birthday you’d have? #3, 4, 5 and 6 of the fraccy clan would cause a wee bit of damage I think. And you know, it makes sense, ’cause isn’t the middle of anything always the best part? Like oreos, or bismarks (jelly donuts for you non-canucks) or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich; a two layer cake, a cheese-filled pizza crust…

I could go on and on, but I think I’ve made my point quite well!

    Happy Birthday.
    MWAH!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDA!!!
You are the best. I talked to Mom at her “Big Celebration” and she was all soft and gushy about the DVD. So congrats to a job well done.
I think Fracas is quite right. The middle of the oreos are the sweetest….. so ….I do believe #3, 4, 5, and 6 will have to rendezvous this summer to celebrate our birthdays together. A big sleepover at Fraccy’s place. I can’t wait!
Hope your day was just GREAT!
    Luv

Happy Birthday Linda :-) You kept that quiet

  17. lindaon 29 Feb 2008 at 1:02 am

So much to reply to… lol… okay, here goes…

Olga… LOL… yes, it’s a close relative that wanted to make sure the bundle arrived safely and stowed away to be sure of it.

Jayleen… thank you for emailing to poke me with a stick. lol. The rest you know. Will email again, promise!

AussieBabe…. holy frac!! I didn’t know you even knew where my blog was. Nice to see you here!! And thank you.

70s…. I did. Long story. And thank you. :)

Fraccy…. apparently bismark isn’t a Canadian thing, it’s a Saskatchewan thing. I had to learn to say “jelly donut” not bismark… and “western sandwich” not “denver sandwich.” You should SEE the looks I’d get when I’d forget. You’d think I was from freaking Mars.

And you know when you pull the Oreo apart and there’s that bit of the white middle part that’s all falling apart with cookie bits still stuck to it? Yep. That’s the part that’s me, alright. LOL.
